It was a pleasure for AMCAL to partner with your company for the renovation of the Hillcrest Apartments into a new affordable housing community in Victorville. Thanks to you, we met our construction schedule, and met all the City’s and County’s goals when they entrusted us with a large allocation of their valuable NSP funding. This was AMCAL’s first partnership with a third-party general contractor, and you alleviate any concerns we may have had about assigning construction work to a third-party general contractor. During the pre construction/budget phase of the project, the members of the SCB team took it upon themselves to develop an in-depth understanding of the project. They anticipated problems, and offered comprehensive value engineering and alternatives, without compromising quality. They identified issues in the plans early in the course of events, and creatively and cost-effectively addressed them. Their preliminary budget proved to be accurate, demonstrating the thoroughness of their plan analysis and take-off. Sun Country met, and beat, a challenging, accelerated, fast-track schedule, the result of a delayed permitting process, and a tax credit deadline. Their understanding of tax credit financing requirements made them a motivated member of our team.

Sun Country’s staff was knowledgeable and professional. Problems were addressed efficiently, effectively, and with a ‘can-do’ attitude, Prevailing Wages were managed effortlessly and transparently, and communications and documentation were clear, predictable, and unusually good. It was good to know that they were aggressively looking out for our interests.

Over the years I have worked with several general contractors. Not one has performed with the skill, quality and professionalism of Sun Country Builders. Brookview was a complicated development to construct. Sun Country Builders did a masterful job, one of which you can be very proud.
