Former Motel To Become Supportive Housing In Anaheim

Linc Housing, Sun Country Builders, and Y&M Architects have commenced construction on a new Project Homekey site in Orange County which will convert a former motel into permanent supportive housing.

The North Harbor Apartments, formerly the Studio 6 Motel at 1251 N. Harbor Boulevard in Anaheim, will be converted from interim housing into 87 homes for Orange County residents who are either unhoused or at risk of becoming homeless. The apartments are to be priced for households earning up to 30 percent of the area median income level.

“This project is another example of state funding put to great use in Anaheim,” said Anaheim Mayor Ashleigh Aitken in a press release. “For the formerly unhoused residents that moved in, this project instantly changed their lives. This final phase will create a much needed permanent, supportive home for people continuing their journey out of homelessness.”
