Sun Country Builders (SCB) recently donated 45 books and 45 bookmarks at an end-of-the-summer party for children who live at The Blossom in Beaumont to mark the company’s 45th anniversary.
SCB is a general contractor company that specializes in building multi-family housing like The Blossom.
Joey Clements, SCB’s vice president of construction, said it was nice to see how their work has positively contributed to the children’s lives.
“We’re a general contractor and we get caught up a lot of times trying to meet schedules and deadlines and budgets,” he said. “We know there’s a purpose at the end of what we do, but it’s really nice to just actually see it, right? Because typically when we build a project, we hand over the keys and then we move on to the next building that we’re constructing. So again, it’s really nice to see that come full circle and really drives the purpose behind what we do.”
